I loved this book! It pulled me right in from the beginning. The author has amazing story telling skills and I quickly came to care for Ivy and her daughter, and of course the darling German Shepherd, Sadi.
Be warned,this is a tear-jerker. More than once I needed multiple tissues. The author has a knack for making you FEEL. You’ll cheer Ivy on and be amazed by her inner strength. Be prepared to fall in love with Archer and the boys (and Gigi, too!) and hate Vick. Oh my, I really, really…ya. It’s fine though, he’s the bad guy. I won’t give away the ending, but it’s well wrapped up and will leave you very satisfied!

I bought this book, which is saying a lot right there. I don’t buy a lot of books these days. However, a great friend on facebook recommended this one and the cover and blurb immediately caught my eye.

I sat down in the evening planning on reading a few pages before bed…and didn’t stop. Yes, it’s one of THOSE books.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about it. The characters are all well defined and unique, and likable. Ari and Shane had a growing relationship.. not a OMGyouaremysoulmateandIloveyouevenifIjustmetyou love. Awesome battle scenes, strong female lead, wonderful supporting characters, great plot and story. Overall a very engaging and fun read.

My only problem is that it ended and there are more books in the series. I rather want to timewarp ahead to the future so I can read them now!

This book wasn’t quite what I expected, I was thinking there would be more paranormal than there was. However I quickly became sucked into the wonderfully written story with its fascinating characters and beautiful surroundings. I definitely recommend to anyone.

The retired detective is reluctantly roped into finding out “who dunnit.” In order to snag the bad guy, Buzz, along with her Biology teacher sister Mag, “The Maggot” Miller, have only to find the murderer by following the trail of a dead horse, uncovering the illegal importation of rare plants, breaking up an international drug trafficking ring, uncovering a designer drug lab, and avoid being bumped off by the bad guys. Simple enough, right? That is, until her mom’s wacky “Geriatric S.W.A.T. Team” cronies turn the crime scene into a neighborhood barbeque and Buzz’s 160 pound Newfoundland chews up most of her initial investigation! After a shoot out at the Not-So-OK-Corral, Buzz has to explain to Sheriff Green why his only solid suspect was now pushing up daisies while lying dead in the petunias!

My entire life has been spent between the covers of fantasy and sci fi novels.Though I’ve read a few mysteries, I’ve never read one that got me laughing as hard as this one did. I read it from cover to cover in one night and not only could i not put it down, I couldn’t stop laughing. I had no idea mystery novels could be so much fun. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!
